Title: Snipping Tool Win 7 Ultimate No Longer Works

I use Snipping Tool frequently and it no longer works on my Win 7 Ultimate machine. When attempting to open it, I get an error message to "restart your computer and try again". Of course, this does not work. I've just recently installed Office 2010 on this computer and I understand from other forums (which did not solve the problem) that this can cause the problem. One forum had a registry tweak to solve the problem, but I did not understand how to actually "import" the tweak. The tweak is as follows ...

Just have to run it from a .reg file :-)

That is what I had previously thought, but when I attempt to run the file, I get an error message that the "specified file is not a registry script. ... You can only import binary registry files from within the registry editor."

Thanks, Shane ... that worked! Wow!

And thanks for the great tweaking.com software, too. I've used it a few times to make a few tweaks and a couple of fixes and it has helped immensely. You are doing a wonderful job!

I will also see about adding this reg file to my Windows repair tool.
