Title: External hard disk
Post by: Mister-Dolf on November 06, 2015, 05:38:54 am
Hello,

First I want to say I use multiple of your (pro) programs for my small computer repair shop.
But I was wondering if its possible to add the feature for repairing external HDD's with Windows rapair program.
I am not sure if this is an option but it should be a great feature for me..

Kind regards,
Marcel Dolfing

hmmm i'm not sure if that is possible at the moment same like the boot cd everyone wants. it calls the current os loaded so if you were to try to connect a hdd via usb it would only repair the the os that's running the hdd from usb not the os on the hdd it self. Maybe shane can put more input on this but i think that is the reason why it may not work.  :undecided:

Hello Julian,

Thank you for the fast awnser. I came to this after I bought a program to recover product/serial keys from (external) hard disks.
In that program you can select an other Windows map (the system one).. So you can scan other system maps than the one that u use.
But my knowledge is not that great, but probably scannen and "repairing" are two different kind of things :)
Thank you anyway :)

Kind regards,
Marcel
