I get this error 80073701 when I tried to update windows. Four updates failed. They are KB3081320, KB3080079, KB3101246, and KB3101746. Most of the updates are from this month and others that came out this month updated just fine. Just wanted to lnow if anyone know of a fix for this. Thanks.

As it has just failed for some updates, try those again later.
You could Google for the stand alone downloads, but when you get the error there's a link that takes you to some suggestions for a fix, but they can be confusing.
If they still fail, then try these generic commands from a cmd prompt run as an admin.
The SoftwareDistribution cmd will clear your update history but will not affect already installed updates, but you can reverse the cmd to restore the update history.
The forum may allow you to copy and paste these cmds where they will auto run except perhaps for the last one where you will need to press enter.
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
If they report as successful then enter exit to close the cmd window.

try running this i hate having to result to running the system update readiness tool
-
I have run that but might need to do it again. I will give it a try and see what goes. It is like a year old. Would be nice foe Microsoft to update it.

You could also try resetting the update components, but I ssume WR will have already done that.

It's possible that KBs 3081320 and 3101246 have been withdrawn as I don't have either installed or hidden, but I do have KB3101746 which may cover the other two.
The other two may have been removed when I ran Disk Cleanup as an admin after WUs.
Explanation ? - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3101246
You could try a direct download of KB3101746 and if it installs, then do a manual check for updates to see if the others are still offered

You can also Google for direct downloads for the others if you want to install them in the order given in the article, but you would need to uninstall 746 first.
I have KB3080079 hidden as it adds Remote Desktop Support and don't need it
