Chrome (latest version always) - can show only 121 tabs. Limit!!
How to enable show more example: 200 tabs?! or more... :teeth:
Monitor 1920x1080

200 tabs? Lol that's a lot of tabs 121 is a lot actually. I'm curious why you would want that many?? The average user has around 30 open maybe at max 75. So I'm sure they capped it at 121. I'll search around and maybe poke through it with a hex editor see what I come up with.

Hi, Makin,
121 tabs. How could you see so much tab, or open those tabs. I only use at the maximum 3 tabs and you want more tabs.
i cannot imagine, those things.

Samson - Very stupid picture. Chrome - is a plugin that prevents the automatic playback of the audio stream on the tabs.
Julian - In Firefox, can virtually open more (eg. I have opened 650 - 5000+) and density tabs do not decreases.
Of course you can open and 650 and will operate with a minimum amount of RAM.
121 much ??? No!
My daily job is just to much more than 100 tabs.
and do not like any limits.
I want open 200 tabs or more in Google Chrome!!! I'm not like the others, I'm not the average user.
I dont care how many tabs. I need to have a lot of tabs open.
FIREFOX: Example 430 TABS - 941 MB RAM
5000 TABS - 10+ GB RAM

@ Makinero
Hmm I just tested you theory with the limit and got 200+ tabs open with my chrome browser.... I'm thinking chrome open's as much your computer can handle. It open's them in separate processes so it can allocate the ram as necessary.
Edit: here is a link that might be useful to read:

@samson
I love The Fry picture I chuckled when I saw that picture.

Hmm I just tested you theory with the limit and got 200+ tabs open with my chrome browser....
but all does not show in the window!
Show me screen - where you open 200 tabs and shows all the window.
For Compare:
In Firefox, the size of each tab not reduced, so here is much, much better.

It does not interest me your meme generator and all your funny or not funny images that do not have nothing to do with my subject.
-
Samson lets not troll. Let's stay on topic :cheesy:
-
I laughed and liked it :artist:
makinero lighten up. He wasnt insulting you, hearing someone having that many tabs open is not common and would be a memory nightmare, so yeah the picture made me smile, and now I am wanting the meme generator, I have some people to tick off.

Many tabs? No problem for me. (I can open the 2000 OR 10000 tabs (but time may be required)) (I can open it, but do not show all the tabs in the window)
and super low memory usage. You may not believe it, I do not care, but for me there are no limits.

Hey Shane, here you go....

I can open 10,000 tabs but it requires a 10000 x 1 second = 10,000 seconds ( ~ 3 hours)

You should be looking at working set, not private bytes.

1.4 Gb memory, while high, is still impressive for the amount of tabs open.
In my firefox if I have 10 tabs open I am hitting around 400 mb memory. Of course I have my cleanmem set to run from the task scheduler so it keeps it cleaned up.
In fact right now firefox with this one and only tab open is using 250 Mb of ram.
Looks like firefox has gotten better are using and sharing memory between tabs.
Shane
-
Example:
Open . . 10,000 TABS ~14 GB RAM  More tabs I can not open because I need more RAM (for stable operation)
Theoretically, 1 tabs needs about 2 MB RAM.
-
- 121 tabs ??? Now I think I know why you have so much problems on your system (in spite of having so much memory) with e.g. Defraggler. With 121 tabs I would be swamped and loose oversight.
-
You have the wrong thinking.
These are different issues, so why the hell you mix different issues?
On another computer I have 64 GB of RAM, and so what?
Firefox shows normal size each tabs (because it not reduces the size of the tabs Button < >) compared to Chrome (tabs shrinks)
I FF (I use an average of 250 tabs)
I also want to use 200 tabs in chrome (Issue tabs shrinks)
In Chrome, it’s not possible to set a minimum width for tabs and create a scrollable tab strip whenever your screen can’t fit all of them. Instead, the tabs will shrink smaller and smaller as you open more tabs, to a point where you can no longer see both the page title and favicon and all tabs.

- I don't see why I "mix up different things". Windows' memory management is "Rocket Science". Very complicated and sometimes very unpredictable. Sometimes I thought A would happen with memory usage but instead B happened.
- Chrome & Firefox have lousy memory management. Only now their developers are starting to work on better memory management. Combined with using "Flushmem" (assuming you're using it) I am not surprised to see problems pop up.
-
I do not use FlushMem - I only test (long ago)
Pseudo Tool Clean Memory - this application is based on the Flushing Metafile - so do not understand what you mean?
Clean Memory = Flushing Metafile
Reduce the use of Metafile = reduce the consumption of RAM.
I use another tool, but please do not mix up the names of various tools !!!
He did not say what use the tools because that is my secret.
What? All Browsers use extremely little RAM
Example:
10 TABS = 20 MB RAM
100 TABS = 200 MB RAM
(I do not care that your system and your browser uses a lot of RAM)
you not read carefully all my posts,
I do not want to discuss with you, since you anything you can not understand basic things and all topics combine into one!
