Title: Registry Backup Scheduling
Post by: Conure on August 10, 2012, 10:06:33 am
Hi,

First, thanks for providing these programs for free!

I'm trying out Registry Backup V1.3.0, on Windows 7 SP1, x64.

I click "Create Schedule" and then click "Edit Schedule" - The Task Scheduler dialog pops up, but I do not see this program listed anywhere in the Task Scheduler Library.

I have read two other threads pertaining to scheduling and do not see this issue addressed directly.  Though I wonder if that user is experiencing this same issue.

Thanks

When the task scheduler opens you need to click on "Task Scheduler Library" on the left hand side

I read it

I had one user who didnt know to click on the menu on the left, that is why I asked :-)

I am also on Win 7 64 bit and dont have any trouble with it creating the rule. It just uses the API call to it. I wonder what is different on your system.

Can you post a screen shot of the task scheduler list like I did for me?

Its there, Shane.  My apologies.

I clicked the arrow to the left of the "Task Scheduler Library" heading and looked at the entries underneath.  I saw "2BrightSparks" (SyncBack), Event Viewer, Games, Microsoft, WPD sub headings.  I was looking for a Tweaking.com subheading and did not see it there.  Why isn't it there?

Anyway, your reply made me look closer by clicking on the heading and then looking at the middle pane and there it was!  Its kind of in the root of Task Scheduler Library.

Hope this reply helps others.
