How do I uninstall Intel driver update on W8.1? No uninstaller present
-
Is it listed in Programs and Features ?
If it is then you can right click on it and select Uninstall but Windows Uninstall usually leaves residue in the registry which can have adverse effects on performance.
I use the free version of IObit Uninstaller to uninstall any programs on my laptops which has a Deep Clean facility which removes all residue, although I've known it to leave the odd empty folder.

During the install, look for any checked boxes that will add unwanted software - Advanced System Care is the favourite, but if it slips in then you can use the Uninstaller to remove it.

no refference to programme in iob, no suprise as there is no uninstaller (see attch). Reinstalled and then uninstalled. Solved

Glad to see you were able to get this sorted, but if it didn't have its own uninstaller, how did you uninstall it ?
-
The reinstall (at default settings) overwrites the currupted installation and plants the uninstall in correct location. I found a solution but not the cause. The reason for removing was I ran Win Experience Index before and after updating my Intel Graphics driver to latest available driver and found my values actualy decreased with the new driver. I assume my Acer Aspire E1-571 has customised graphics drivers which of course are years old! The update utility did not degrade performance but was unnecessary.
As usual Boggin, thanks for being the first responder.

That's because I think I'm the only one who does any regular work on here :D
