Title: After Win 8 upgrade to 10, cannot create folders on server
Post by: DanOrangeCounty on September 25, 2016, 11:45:01 pm
On several PC's at office they all have the same issue. You click on the shared folder (lets say \\server\photos shared as P:\) and at any leve of the network share you can rt-click, New Folder, type in a name, and hit enter and then it hangs for 30 seconds and gives an 08x00703b error that points to thousands of people reporting this since 2000.
It must be something simple. The network worked fine for years, and now all of a sudden one third of the Win 10 users cannot create folders on the network shares. No changes to security groups, same users, same server (Win Server 2012R2).

I tried to look up that error code, but I'm pretty sure you typed it wrong.

I tend to think this is a network browsing / discovery issue.

Take a look at this video and see if it helps.
