Hey guys my wife brought home a laptop from a elderly lady and the woman cannot remember the login password. Is there a free program that I can download that will let me get the password. All the programs I have downloaded so far wants money. Not going to spend money since it is not my computer.

This has worked well for me in the past.
Link removed by Moderator now that the OP has resolved because this can be used for illegal means.
In future if someone posts asking for help with password bypass and only if you think they are genuine, then PM them the link.
There is no way of knowing if the OP is the legal owner or has legal access to the computer and many forums would lock such a thread.

Thanks got it fixed, deleted password, but it will not let me put a new password in when I am in windows user. Will try rebooting with program on usb stick and try to enter new password there.

That's okay.
People like to help but they can forget that the person who is asking for help in this situation may not be as they are making out and Google's spiders can pick up this thread to help those who shouldn't be getting this sort of help.
BTW - Hope you get your password problem sorted.
