I consider Spyhunter to be scamware, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's already possible that previously removing anything it *finds* is the reason for this error.  Undo any changes made by it, if you can, then uninstall it and reboot to test again.

(SuperAntiSpyware majors on cookies, which aren't harmful, but it's okay as an occasional antimalware scanner, esp. alongside MBam Free. Hitman Pro is fine, ranks alongside MBam Free as being best in class for free/trial antimalware software - but, if you want it to scan/remove for free, you need to install/uninstall the latest version each time you want to use it, MBam Free can remain installed, just update it before scanning.)

Have deleted SpyHunter.Rebooted to safe mode.Reinstalled there Tweaking.com Tool.NO error. In normal mode it appeared again.Could not make chkdsk/f as Command Prompt said not enaugh volume.Instead attaching CBS log of cfs/scannow.
Title: Re: Error hooking API upon Installation
Post by: Boggin on January 23, 2017, 04:31:48 pm
That would confirm it was related to an antivirus program as Shane has found -

https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=362231

AV programs aren't loaded in Safe Mode.

You only need to post the CBS log if sfc /scannow reported it was unable to repair all files.

It sounds like your hard drive is a bit full.

You haven't said which version of Windows you are using.

If Win 7 then go Start - type disk cleanup - right click on Disk Cleanup and select Run as administrator.

If later than Win 7 - go Start - type disk cleanup and press enter.

When it has done its scan, click on Clean System files where it should find a lot more to remove.

You can gain some more space on your hard drive by turning Hibernate off.

For Win 7 go Start - type cmd - right click on cmd and select Run as administrator and accept the UAC.

For later, Open a Command Prompt (Admin) - accept the UAC then enter powercfg -h off - that frees up about 6GB for me.

Check to see if you have 15% of the total hard drive free and then you can run a defrag from the admin command prompt by entering defrag /c

This will analyze and defrag all volumes as necessary.

If you still don't have a min of 15% free then you are going to have to copy large files such as photos etc onto an external HDD of sufficient capacity - but I'd do that anyway as Virtual Memory relies on free space on the hard drive.

Well that should be enough but when you get that message it can be indicative of a failing HDD.

Can you download the 30 day trial version of HDSentinel to see what that reports for your drive.

Hit the green button then uninstall when done so as to stop the clock to use it again as and when.

Found. The Hitman Pro is blocking Tweaking.com Windows Repair.exe to open the Tool creating that hooking API error.Deleting Hitman Pro éliminâtes the error.Have asked Hitman Pro to correct the issue and give green light for peaceful coexistance of these two programmes.

With HitmanPro uninstalled, see if chkdsk /f will complete and run HDSentinel again to see if it gives you the same alert.

You have some side effects which I believe require investigation, but it is up to you if you want to continue.

Have checked chkdsk without f sinse the tool always  says "volume is used by enother processor".No problem has been found.Hard Disk Sentiel showed the same results. So far so good.Merci assistance.
Title: Re: Error hooking API upon Installation
Post by: Boggin on January 24, 2017, 04:49:19 pm
Perhaps we were at cross purposes with what you reported as the reason you couldn't run a chkdsk /f

When you run chkdsk without any parameters, that is a read-only mode and can give the wrong info if something is being written to the HDD at the time.

A chkdsk in repair mode cannot run while the volume is in use - this is why you are prompted to enter y for it to run on the next start.

Do you want to give chkdsk /f another go ?

You can read its full report in Event Viewer (after it has read all of the data) by expanding Windows Logs - click on Application - Action/Find then type chkdsk or wininit into the Find box and press enter.

Cancel the Find box then read the report in the scrollable window and the main thing is still to look for any reported KBs in bad sectors.

Are you still getting the same empty Journal alert with HDSentinel ?
Title: Re: Error hooking API upon Installation
Post by: Anatoli Lioultchenko on January 25, 2017, 09:08:22 am
Volume always used by another processor. In HDSentinel-journal is empty,Alert is empty.Hitman`s experts have started working to eliminate error.
Title: Re: Error hooking API upon Installation
Post by: Boggin on January 25, 2017, 03:45:47 pm
I wonder if it's the USN Journal that HDSentinel is referring to...

When you enter chkdsk /f in an elevated cmd prompt, do you get the same as mine - (this has been done on a Win 7 machine)

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation.  All rights reserved.

C:\Windows\system32>chkdsk /f
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process.  Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

This is normal and you need to type y and press enter for it to execute on the next restart.

Enter this cmd to close the cmd window and effect an immediate reboot where the chkdsk will execute after the countdown.

shutdown /r /t 00

The chkdsk will check the USN Journal and include its findings in its report.

There is (0/N), but not (Y/N) Ì`ve never did the manipulation you proposed.Need step by step instraction.
Title: Re: Error hooking API upon Installation
Post by: Boggin on January 26, 2017, 03:22:49 am
Let's try it another way - I don't know why you are getting O/N instead of Y/N

You could see what happens when you enter o but go Start - click on the Settings cog - Update & Security - Recovery - under Advanced start-up click on Restart now - Troubleshoot - Advanced options - Command Prompt - click on the computer name

Enter your password if one used then click on Continue or if no password is used then just click on Continue

Enter bcdedit |find "osdevice" and using whichever partition letter, enter chkdsk x: /r where x is the partition letter.

For clarity, that is a Pipe symbol before find and is the upper case of \

The bcdedit cmd is necessary as it doesn't always see the volume as being in C

This method doesn't require a reboot to dismount the volume as you are working outside of Windows and you will see its full report on screen.

This will take some time but disregard the error 50 at the end because that relates to it not being able to create a Wininit file in Event Viewer as it would normally do when this is performed normally from within Windows.

Title: Re: Error hooking API upon Installation
Post by: Boggin on January 26, 2017, 04:57:10 am
Well there's something wrong if those previous cmds weren't recognized, unless you made any typos when you entered them and then there's the O/N you are getting when you try the chkdsk /f from within Windows.

I think I'd still be of a mind to perform a repair install because Windows own tools aren't working as they should.

A repair install doesn't affect your programs or personal stuff as it just repairs Windows.

If it's easier, when you are prompted to type O/N - enter n then right click in the cmd window - click on Select all and press enter.

You can then right click in the reply box and select Paste.

Okay then.

Open a fresh Command Prompt (Admin) and enter chkdsk - go Start - type snipping then press enter when Snipping Tool comes up.

Click on New then position the mouse cursor at the top left of the cmd window - right click and drag the mouse across and down to encompass the relevant part of the cmd window then release the mouse button.

Click on File - Save As - give it a name - chkdsk will do then click on Save.

Click on File/Exit then enter exit in the cmd window to close it.

Place your cursor in the reply box, add some text and press enter to paragraph then scroll down below the reply box to Attach then click on Browse.

Click on your Pictures folder - then on the chkdsk pic and click on Open.

When you click on Post you will see your pic in the lower half of the reply box like mine -

Let's try Paint then.

With your cmd window up and chkdsk /f entered, when using a laptop to use the PRTSC (printscreen) you may need to press the FN key together with the ALT and the PRTSC keys

I normally hit them twice and then go Start - type paint and press enter.

When that opens you will see a Paste icon - click on that which should put the image into the window, then click on File and hover over Save as

Click on PNG in the right pane which should open the window for you to give it a name and then follow the steps to attach that, but the way things are going I think the best option for you would be to perform a repair install.

This doesn't affect your personal stuff or installed programs, unlike the Reset option in Recovery, which while leaving your personal stuff intact, will remove any installed programs.

Instructions on that to follow if necessary.

Dear Boggin! Let`s give up all these exercices.I prise your effort in assisting and thenkful for keep you busy with me.The cause of the problem has been found. That`s Hitman Pro tool, which is blocking Tweaking.com Tool.I requested Hitman tech experts to look into the matter and they confirmed that they are working on the issue and possible solution may be via updating their Tool. The problem is inside Hitman Pro and related to criptage. You and me will kill plenty of time without results.Merci.

I don't think it's Hitman Pro that is stopping you from running a chkdsk /f or the missing Save as or the empty Journal message in HDSentinel.

One way to confirm that would be to use the Hitman Pro Uninstaller (providing you have a copy of the product key) and then see if you can perform a chkdsk /f with it uninstalled.

Sometimes repair attempts can take a while when alternatives have to be used, but I'll leave it with you for now - but come back if you want to continue.

As a time difference comparison, it's 10:00pm here in the UK, so depending upon when you post, you may have a few hours to wait for my reply.

Hitman Pro may well have conflicted WR - Norton Security kicked out the WR.exe on one of my laptops, but I don't think it would have been responsible for what I wrote in my last post.

Since Hitman Pro has been updated, do you still experience those ?

There is no error. The error was eliminated by HitmanPro tech experts and thay launched the new update of their tool of which I informed upper this page. The Sentinel did not change its data as before and after. The "chkdsk/f" behaives same way as previously. So far this doesn`t worry me sinse PC works in normal way.
Title: Re: Error hooking API upon Installation
Post by: Boggin on February 02, 2017, 02:40:28 pm
If chkdsk /f is still telling you insufficient volume and HD Sentinel is still reporting the empty journal, then they are clear indicators that the HDD is failing.

If they are then you should create a system repair disk and create a full system image onto external media such as an external HDD.

You will also need to go into the BIOS to change the boot order so that it will check the DVD drive before the HDD so that when the HDD does finally fail, you will be able to boot up with the system repair disk and restore with the system image onto your new HDD.

Post by: Boggin on February 02, 2017, 03:28:55 pm
What I've advised will negate the need to factory reset as you will simply be transferring your current image onto a new HDD with the system image, but you'll need a system repair disk to boot up with to get to that option.
