Title: Question regarding Registry Backup
Post by: templar on January 22, 2017, 02:42:42 am
Greetings folks,

I have a question regarding your Registry Backup program.  If Enable Fallback Backup Method is checked will it do both a Volume Shadow Copy Backup and a Fallback Method Backup?  The only reason I ask is that when I made a backup using your software I made two backups, one with the Fallback Method checked and one without it as I assumed if I made a backup with Fallback Method checked it would only make a Fallback Method Backup and not create a Volume Shadow Copy Backup method.   Apologies if this sounds confusing.

- The "Fallback" is used when - for whatever reason - the Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) system doesn't work. It's just what the name says/suggests. A "Fallback".
- When you tick the box "Always use Fallback ............. " (Advanced Settings) then the the program won't use VSS at all. But the "Fallback" method has some limitations compared to the VSS method.
- In other words, only one of the two methods is used at any time.
