Title: Secunia
Post by: peterr on September 25, 2012, 08:24:42 am
This is the reply i received from Secunia;" I must say I am surprised you have installed it without contacting the vendor because it does not have a valid digital signature."

I ran the av program and am satisfied and further do not even understand wht he is referring to.

Btw, Does anyone have the same problem i have. Both of my pcs have stopped backing up at log on so I have no recent backups to restore from. I just noticed this.

@Shane
If you're interested to sign your programs, I found these links:

They are referring to the fact that I didnt buy a certificate and signed my programs with it.

I am just one person and don't really feel like spending that kind of money lol

neroilo, I haven't been able to find any free ones. And until my programs are making me the kind of money to warrant the price they will stay unsigned, just like they have for the last 10 years lol

Yep, unfortunately I have just discovered that doesn't exist a cheap service better than this one:
https://comodosslstore.com/codesigning.aspx

But I don't understand why they expect to be paid every year...

I might look into it down the road, but as long as my users trust me I have no reason to get it. Yet.

Funny thing is, it doesn't stop any crap companies or virus makers to make a fake company and certify their software. I dont see how this makes things any safer other then a way to make some more money lol
