Title: What on earth have you done!!!!

I have downloaded the latest version (4.0.11)of your (Previously) brilliant programme TWICE now on both my Samsung laptop (W7 installed) and also on my Scan (W10) desktop in the past 24 hours,

On all four occasions  the installation has failed miserably. 

Initially I get a Windows error message stating that there is insufficient  system rersources on BOTH machines to install the programme. Then my Avira AntiVir Pro kicks in to insist that there is a virus in the installation and it refuses to allow it to go further. The file is "TR/Crrpt.EPACK.Gen2" ?????????????????

 I SAY AGAIN..." WHAT HAVE YOU DONE" ??????

Sadly...as a result (I assume) of the above TWEAKING.COM is no more on my laptop.  The whole thing has been zapped (again I assume) by Avira.

Shame as it has sorted my two devices at different times.. a life saver normally !!!!

NOT NOW THOUGH !!!

Will have to try to download and install an older version>>>

Vindicated !!!!!  Just successfully downloaded AND installed the previous version 10.

Cannot avoid the fact that it IS v 11 that is the problem.

Are you sure you have downloaded 4.0.10 as all links give 4.0.11.

Yes...very sure. FileHippo.  On their site they show but any brand new update and also a series of previous versions. Now downloaded AND installed the 10 version on both laptop and desktop without a single error message or other problem.  As I said before....VINDICATED

I wasn't aware that FileHippo had download links for it as I've always downloaded from www.tweaking.com, but it's handy to know the previous versions are sill available.

Using the Pro version, I get auto updates when I accept them.

It's not so much there's a problem with 4.0.11 but Avira.

My Norton Security went through a phase where it was actually kicking out the WR .exe even though the program was already installed.

I had to get www.tweaking.com white listed and I would think that the same can be done in Avira.

Mr. Boggion,

I hear what you say and considered whitelisting.  HOWEVER the 12 version has just been released and, surprise-surprise....it downloaded and installed PROBLEM FREE.  It MUST have been just a problem with version !!.

All OK now fanchew.
