Used system command prompt from pro version. ran "regedit" and only modified windefend "ImagePath" to my most recent folder. it was pointing to one that did not exist whereas defenders antivirus would not run. After restart windefender worked fine. However, windows now says activation needed. I has error trying to activate with my OEM Win 10 Pro key that is correct after checking. Error 0x8007043B as recommended by Microsoft answers. ran slui.exe during troubleshooting and got error 0xc0000022. HELP !!.

Win 10 is digitally activated so it may have problems connecting to MS servers.
However, in Win 7 when the not genuine error popped up, it was found that resetting the licence store would resolve, otherwise you may need to contact MS for them to activate it for you.
To reset the Licence Store, open a Command Prompy (Admin) and enter these cmds -
net stop sppsvc
(wait until the service has stopped before entering the following lines)
CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
(you can copy & paste this one to avoid typos)
REN tokens.dat tokens.bar
net start sppsvc
slui.exe
After a couple of seconds the Windows Activation dialog will appear.
You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key, or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case.
Reboot.

Thank you. The \SoftwareProtectionPlatform folder was missing. I added it The Microsoft folder. Restarted sppsvc. Ran slui, rebooted and voila !!! the Activation warning is gonzo.
You are my Hero. The Tweaking.com Pro version just paid for itself.

That's great news :)
BTW - where did you get that folder to add it to the MS folder ?
-
In admin mode I just added it via File Explorer. It was empty before I ran the sppsvc and slui.

Okay - Thanks.

B, you might want to mention;
Don't run upgrade repair on any version of windows without the license key as it will asks on every version...
This reset command is useful provided you can access the phone registration service!

That isn't the case when performing a repair install on Win 10 as it is digitally activated as long as you have an Internet connection.
I have a Toshiba Win 7 laptop that won't accept a repair install, but you can change the product key to that of the COA sticker key through the Run command Slui 3 when you will be prompted to enter the key.
On some OEM machines you can also get the option to change the product key through Computer/Properties.
