Title: Windows Repair issue
Post by: JasonUK on March 14, 2019, 02:37:20 am
Just installed latest 4.4.6 version and started getting following error "C:\Program Files (x86)\Tweaking.com\Windows Repair (All in One)\MSVBVM60.dll is not designed to run on windows or it contains an error... try reinstalling or contact software co.  Error status 0xc0000020"

Not had that before but now reinstalling 4.4.5 which previously ran fine I'm getting same error.  Presume this is a conflict or similar with an update to WIndows.  My current build is Windows 10 version 1803 (Build 17134.648).

Any tips to overcome this error would be appreciated

Edit: Portable version 4.4.6 works fine.

Not sure why that is happening.

I haven't test run 4.4.6 yet but will and get back to you.

What is the reason you needed to run the repair program ?

I was just installing latest update, no errors that I'm aware of/need to deal with.

PS Portable version works okay.  I suspect this is down to a Windows update since installing 4.4.5 as I get same error trying to reinstall 4.4.5 but had no issue when it was first released/installed.

Both of my Win 10 machines are up to date - one is 1803 and the other is 1809.

I normally test run on the 1809 machine, but if it runs okay on that one then I'll run it on this 1803 machine.

Ran "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth", uninstalled 4.4.5 completely, retried 4.4.6 and success this time!

Must have had a corrupted file somewhere.  Thanks for replies.

Okay - thanks for the update and that it's now okay.
