Title: my XP CD doesn't have repair option?
Post by: Gamezertruth on November 27, 2012, 02:40:50 pm: I try to repair Windows system using a boot CD but there is no option to repair Windows?
Any idea what's going on?

Post by: Shane on November 27, 2012, 02:42:38 pm: When you boot off the cd it should come up with an option to hit "R" to do a repair.

AT the same time there are better ways of doing a repair

Perhaps because your cd is outdated and you installed service pack 3?

You just did a reinstall why do you need to do a repair install already?

Yes my cd, it was with the service pack 2 But I had to upgrade my system for more security and this includes to install Service Pack 3!

Also remember that a lot of viruses will get on your system off sites with infected ads through java and or flash. Always make sure those are up to date :wink:
