Title: Java 8 offline installation XP

Hi I have a old XP laptop that requires Java 8 to be installed for a updated program.
I downloaded the offline application and went to install but the installer won't even open.
Java 7 is loaded, I tried to uninstall, still nothing. Java 7 installs no worries.
Because of age of computer it is used offline.
Please can you help.
