Title: Windows 10 password reset disk
Post by: sponbob on August 10, 2020, 08:34:27 pm
I have to laptops at home and unfortunately can not remember the admin password of HP laptop. Can I create a password reset disk on another working laptop and use it to reset HP laptop password?

PCUnlocker in this article seems to be the best option as the other methods seem to be machine specific which I don't think you could use on another machine.

Scroll down to and click on Download PCUnlocker to create the disk to boot up with.

You'll need to tap F12 as you switch on, use the cursor keys to select the DVD drive - insert the disk and press enter.

You may be prompted to press any key to boot from CD or DVD.

This is feasible,as the password reset disk is able to reset any login/admin password for machine. All you need to do just download an iSO file and burn it to an USB disk, you can even burn to a DVD/CD in this way.
Specifically how to do it, you better look at this.

Rufus and imgburn are both very good iso burners.
