Please add a very important repair function. (Tweaking Windows Repair Tool)

Because sfc /scannow or SFCFix.exe, CHKDSK /f /r and TWEAKING WiNDOWS REPAIR do not detect any error on the system, and shows that the system is 100% integral. NO ERROR FOUND.

See problem:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-8gOC4BgYw

But my windows 7 64-bit  (Not 10!) Here the solution has to be different, some more problematic.

this problem can occur to many users during system boot

Your YT vid wasn't very watchable but a much simpler way of getting around this would be to restore with a system image from external media.

Many people are left in it because they don't create system images.

Sorry, but this is an "stupid" amateur solution (what you propose).
You seriously? You would be restoring everything from the disc, wasting your time since this is a solution for 1 minute.
Just think a little longer and find out what may be causing this rare but nonetheless occurs due to some access folder.

The solution is to boot the computer - twice.  I discovered it by accident.

Still want to repair PC from disc and waste your time?

I know what will work.

If you already had the answer then why not post that in your opening post.

Because I believed you knew a more interesting solution.

As I couldn't view your bug vid, I didn't know what your problem was and still don't.

If you continue to Smite me because you don't like the answer I give to your ambiguous query, I will ban you.

You're too nervous a man, take it easy with this ban

Well you seem to know what the word Smite means as you've used it often enough against me.

Why not take a screen shot of the error you are getting.

BTW - I'm not nervous - just annoyed at being penalised when trying to understand what you are reporting when you don't need to as you usually have found the solution before posting.

But this is the solution for Windows 10. Youtube video, not Windows 7.
The problem is also that Tweaking Windows Repair (Pre-Scan) should fix it, and it doesn't (not detect this specific problem). Should add this repair function to the list and everything should be ok, I don't know, maybe some executable script?
I don't know who the developer of this tool is, but take this and other possible repair features into account to quickly fix many other things on your computer without having to "Repair from Disc".
Consider that not all errors in the system need to be fixed immediately from the disc. Be like MacGyver find a solution quickly.  :cheesy:

Well unless you explain what the error is then I can't pass it onto Shane.

BTW - it may not be an easy fix to add to the repair program - even if Shane is inclined to include it if there are fixes already out there.

Looking at the steps in this article to resolve \systemprofile\deskop\ error - I don't think they could be incorporated into the repair program.

https://www.easeus.com/storage-media-recovery/fix-desktop-refers-to-a-location-that-is-unavailable.html

Disregard about using EaseUs.

These steps cover Win 7 through to Win 10.

However, if you have any restore points that go back to before this error started occurring, boot into the advanced boot options - select Repair your computer then press enter to use the System Restore option.

If needed, check the box to show more restore points.

But no one anywhere has explained where this error comes from (very rary error).

I never have restore points because they are always deleted automatically.
What is the point of creating massive backups for an error that takes several kilobytes of data.

According to the below article, it can be caused either by a Windows Update or if the system has crashed.

The only update I get for my Win 7 now is for the Malicious Software Removal Tool.

See if any of these suggestions will resolve - https://www.minitool.com/backup-tips/system32-config-systemprofile-desktop-unavailable.html

Do you get this error every time you boot up - I think in one article I read, it advised checking that your HDD was correctly fitted.

A program called HDSentinel found serious errors on one of my HDDs when a chkdsk /r found none.

You can download this program at https://www.hdsentinel.com/hard_disk_sentinel_trial.php

This will give a written report on the status of your HDD.

Hit the Download link on the left side for the trial version which should work for 30 days.

I uninstall it when finished and then I can reinstall it from my Downloads folder when I want to use it again, so use the Save option on the download.

Auto deleted restore points in Win 7 was a known problem and can be resolved through the steps in this article - https://www.askvg.com/fix-windows-7-deletes-all-system-restore-points-upon-reboot/

On the rare occasions I need to use my restore points either in Win 7 or Win 10 I will boot up into the advanced boot options and access System Restore from there which negates interference from an antivirus program.

Please study this issue in detail first, then suggest a good solution.
Your "repair" suggestions are not required in this case.
I know that everyone proposes 100% of all problems ready-made solutions (the whole set of solutions, which is duplicated from an post). Which is not a smart way to solve simple problems.

It's like you would delete an empty folder or a shortcut (yes! Empty but required) and then suggest anti-virus, system restore, chkdsk, bad sector check and system repair. Think logically and without nerves - this is not a good solution, it only extends problem solving that can be solved in 10 seconds.
Which is better to fix problems wisely in 10 seconds, or doing 10 repair steps that can take up to a day?
I looked for a solution on the internet that requires creating an empty 'Desktop' folder in system32.
So why do you propose a combine harvester solutions that don't make much sense, Mr. moderator of this forum?

I suppose it would help if I knew what you were asking as the last paragraph in your last post bears no relation to what you were originally asking for and as I've already said, I was unable to glean anything from your bug YT vid.

However, I would expect you to know how to create a desktop folder - let me know if you don't and I'll explain it to you.

This is an absolutely 100% identical error message, so how can you not understand such an obvious error message?
Create folder on the desktop has nothing to do with the 'system32' folder

What has this got to do with your opening post or the title of your thread ?

You create a desktop folder, name it if you like, then copy and paste it to wherever you want to put it, although I don't know why you want to put it into the system32 folder.

You're wrong.
This is not Windows 10.
In Windows 7 it is different a lot of system functions do not work due to this error. For example, the start menu does not work properly and most of the shortcuts to programs disappeared (WR in the system tray also does not work). Also on the desktop you only have the recycle bin shortcut and nothing else.

This should be automatically corrected during the "Show Desktop" process VERBOSE (when logging in). Option: Advanced Tool (Pro Version)

I am not wrong - the way I described creating a folder and copying & pasting to wherever you want works the same for both Win 7 and Win 10.

Use the batch file in this article to rebuild your icon cache to see if that gets your desktop icons back -

https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/49819-icon-cache-rebuild.html

I'm not sure if Start up Repair in the advanced boot options will do anything for you, but give that a try.

Whatever the tools I use, everything shows that the System works perfectly and no repairs are required.
Also sfc /scannow does not take into account such repairs? Alwas, always 100% integrated System. Not found any error.
Everything is integral. But all the tools indicate that System does not need to be repaired.

Again, this is not a problem with icons, but with the system profile. Although the computer works fine, but the Desktop does not.
It is nowhere explained what causes this problem, although many users blame it as an undefined error in Windows.

What does it mean?
Even if you don't change the software on the system, you don't change anything, any system is not perfectly errors free,
