More details please - are you trying to upgrade to Win 10 using the Update now button or through the media creation tool (MCT) at https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

If the Update now doesn't work then you can create Win 10 install media.

Should your antivirus program be blocking then you can create the install media in Safe Mode with Networking.

Insert the USB before you download the MCT and it will default to creating a bootable USB.

Read the instructions on creating install media.

When you have done that, remove the install media, reboot and open Windows Explorer - click on Computer and insert the install media.

Double click on its drive which should start the process of the install if using a DVD but if using an USB, that will open to its files where you then double click on setup Application.

You may have to turn off your antivirus program for this process if it's that possessive.

Which AV program are you using ?

If you still have problems then check to see if your machine is compatible for Win 10.

Sorry I did not make this clear!

I am referring to the Windows Installer  used  to install new programs, upgrades etc.

See this link!

Notice the  installer freezes....the Status bar does not progress!

Have you tried the installs in Safe Mode with Networking as it could be your antivirus program getting in the way.

Doing a manual check for updates on that may also resolve.

Do you also have sufficient disk space to accept any new installs ?
