Shane I know that the hardware is not the problem because I installed a new sound card and Windows didn't installed its drivers also.

I did download ubuntu, and it installed sound drivers without problem, so hardware is fine, the problem is in Windows.

Thanks a lot for your time and attention.

Ricks my sound card is integrated in the motherboard, and it has been working without problem since a build this machine. Under the possibility that the sound were broke, I bought a new sound card and the system don't let me install the new sound card drivers same problem with two different sound cards. There is a many people in internet posting same problem with different devices, the comun denominator is the message about the interactive window station that the operation requires. The users that has solve the problem are those that reinstalled Windows, but I don't want to do that, because if the same problem show ups I will be to be installing on and on, my system have many big applications, I am a graphic designer, and it will take me a lot of time to install, run updates, etc.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Rick that is not the problem I bought a new sound card and it doesn't installed also.

Yes, I tried on Save Mode too.

I think that the problem is due to some security change made by Windows Update or IE10 that doesn't want to install also.

Yes, I did uninstalled several times from Device Manager, but there isn't an option for software too.

Yes, I use latest driver from manufacturer, and also I let Windows to search, in both cases it fail and the message about the interactive window station shows.

Thanks for your time and attention.

My sound stopped, I found out that the sound driver were showing problem, I uninstall and try to reinstall, but It doesn’t, driver property shows the follow message.

“This operation requires an interactive window station.”

On top of it I have four updates in Windows Update, that don’t want to install including IE 10.

I found a solution in internet that is to reinstall Windows 7 64 bit that is what I am running, but the problem is that I have to reinstall all my applications, and I don’t want to be reinstalling on and on.
