General Computer Support / Re: ran new all in one fix
« on: June 19, 2016, 06:08:02 am »
I hit reset password, but I did not add anything to it. Now it appears my password is changed? I tried dozens of passwords include leaving it blank?  Nothing works?  Does All In One reset the password to something that is default?  Is there any software out there that remove all passwords and leave that field blank?

Thanks for the quick replies!

I have Windows 8.1  I used All In One widows fix and in the Tab, reset User Control, I selected reset Password. Now, the next day, It will not let me log into windows? At the windows log in screen, I put in my password and it comes up with invalid password?  So my question is, Does Tweaking windows all in one reset my password to something else? I have tried dozens of times and with on luck?  I can push F8 and get to Safe Mode.  But I can not find anything in there that resets password?  Is there a procedure on resetting a password? I kind of wanted nothing as a password and just let Windows 8.1 boot into a windows screen with no prompt to ask for a password?

I hope this helps?

Does your computer program fix file explorer not working?  Everytime I click the icon of File Explorer, my computer blinks and then goes to windows screen? I have run sfc /scannow and no fix, I have made sure I have view only one screen selected in control panel, I can not get to administrative feature because anytime I right click on an icon the same thing happens, and it blinks off and goes to windows home screen? I also unistalled power iso as I saw a post that said tatt program was causing issues...still no fix?

Got any suggestions?

Thanks

While in elevated command prompt, I tried to add this string to the command prompt line and it comes up and says it cant find the file?  Any work around to this?  I attached a file of the command prompt to show what its doing.

Your fist link I can not use as I can not get into windows to get a command prompt, your second link I downloaded the usb download tool and put it on a 4 gb usb flash drive and then pushed the on button on the cpu and it went right past the usb file and went to the black screen. On your 3rd link I downloaded Rufus and just put that only on a 4 gb flash drive, rebooted the cpu and it went past that file to the black screen I pushed F-2 and went to bios, boot and check to make sure I had usb first selected, I do?  I still can not get past this black screen!  Thanks for the try Boggin!!

General Computer Support / toshiba laptop not getting safe mode
« on: November 25, 2015, 06:33:53 am »
Hello Shane:
I have a Toshiba Qosmo laptop, windows 8.1 and I thought maybe I had a virus or malware on my CPU. So I went to "Run" and typed in "Msconfig" to log into safe mode. I saw on the menu, I could check rebuild folders. I thought maybe that would fix my computer?. So I checked that option and rebooted. Since then I get a black screen with two options, on the left side I can increase magnification, on the right side I get restart or shutdown. I have restarted and shutdown dozens of times and I can not get back to safe mode. The computer will not boot into windows, all I get is that black screen with the two choices? Is there a file that will boot into safe mode?  I also tried pressing F-8 and also Shift F-8 on boot up and nothing happens? I can press F-2 on boot and it takes me to bios. I moved boot option to usb and downloaded an usb boot program but nothing happens there either?  Please help as this Toshiba Laptop is dead!  I am at wits end on this machine.

Thanks

Hello
When I click on "Restore" the program finds and lists nothing? I know I did a Registry Backup because I labeled it Backup Registry 1 and Backup Registry 2.  I will download Version 2.50 and try tonight when I get home from work.

Thank You Shane for all you do!

Hello:
I downloaded and installed All In One version 2.4.2 onto my Acer Minitower. I have Windows 8.1 64 bit and Internet Explorer 10. After I ran the program All In One the following things happened to my computer.

Cant Restore- even though I did it while running the program - says no restore point found?

Cant execute Internet Explorer 10 - Double click on icon and program executes and then goes away?

Cant install any software- Get Error code 0X8007005 error? Probably downloaded every software you have in this site and ran them through a thumb drive- all 2 dozen of them found and fixed no errors?

Cant update any programs including all my Adobe and Anti Virus and Anti Malware Programs?

Cant turn on my Anti-Virus ( BitDefender ) During install notes it said to turn off my AntiVirus program so I did and now I cant turn it back on- same as my Anti Malware Programs?

No Sound from my speakers- All drivers show OK and Normal when looked at under "Device Manager" I have no ! marks next to any of the Drivers or Hardware stuff?

Cant play any sounds from Youtube, my Music Folder or in Internet Explorer- When I try the 3 different programs that I have execute and then say error unable to read? Using Winamp,Windows Media Player, Real Player all dont work?

Cant Print? Says no drivers found even though I could before I ran All In One?  I ran my Drivers Install disc that came with my Canon Printer and it seems to work although when I print something it says "error You need permission", I hit OK and it prints??

I cant reinstall Windows 8.1 as when I bought this new computer they would not give me a windows disc unless I paid additional $150. They said I have an OEM Operating System.

I tried doing a Resore under Windows and it will not let me do it?

I have tried close to two dozen programs you list on this web site from File Permission to Antivirus to Malware to ultilities and nothing seems to correct any of these issues?  Anyone got any ideas??

HELP!!

Thanks
