On the USB Installer I can't find the ISO file they want me to select. It's a bit confusing, but could you help me. I already downloaded Ubuntu desktop. I will keep trying until I get your reply.

Eh... It's been messed up for a while, and I actually have formatted it. I was going to use it for my college, but lost it and bought a flash drive. I found the player the other night though. It's always worth a try, right? I don't really have anything to lose now.

Oh, you never answered my question about the mp3 player. I've been using it for odd files like a flash drive, It looks a lot like one. Do you think it would work?

But I can't get onto windows. I barely even make it past the Dell Logo screen, then it goes black and tells me that NTLDR is missing. I press ctrl alt del like it says but it's like it's on repeat. Dell Logo, black screen, Dell logo, black screen and so on.

This just blows my mind. I was just on it, then I shut it down, ate dinner, got your reply then I turn it on and POOF dead computer. I'm only glad that I got all my work onto the USB before it happened.

What would I have to do if the hard drive is bad? It would make sense though, it's been through hell and back.

 I think it's fried. I turned it on and it gives me a black screen that says 'NTLDR is missing Press ctrl+alt+del to restart'

And I don't really have an extra flash drive to use for the bootable thing. Would an MP3 player work? My old one looks alot like a flash drive.

Also, how would I go about reinstalling windows if I don't have a CD?

1st thing to say is: My Computer is a netbook. No disk drive and it didn't come with any flash drives
I am using a USB to put programs from my 'Working' netbook onto the 'Non Working' one.

It is running Windows XP Professional.

When I log into windows I get this Error message: explorer.exe - Application Error The Application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b) Click OK to Terminate the Program

I Click OK But My desktop never loads, just a blank wallpaper, No taskbar either. I can run the Task Manager by pressing ctrl alt del, but I can't really run any programs. I always get the above error message.

Out of all the Antivirus programs I have tried, only one has found a virus. But When I tried to do something about it, the antivirus program quit working and won't start back up again.

System Restore won't work.

I have tried the All In One program, but it doesn't do me any good.

Oh, and I think (Not too sure) the CD is in my netbook. While attempting to find out what I can and can't do with my computer, I came across a program. When I open it, a page comes up, that says 'Welcome to Microsoft Windows XP' Beneath that is a list of options. One of which is 'Install Windows XP' I clicked on it but it didn't do anything. I even tried all the other options, but the only one that worked was titled 'Install Optional Windows Services'

If anyone can shed some light for me I would greatly appreciate it. Any antivirus software that will work with this dilemma would be great. Give me honest feedback here, I don't want this computer to be fried, but if this is a lost cause, please let me know.

If you need any additional information let me know and I will do my best to give it to you.
