Tweaking.com Support & Help / black screen after running Windows All in One repair
« on: February 13, 2013, 06:00:38 pm »
I have an OP on another forum who ran Windows All in One Repair (and did do a registry backup and System Restore) but after running the program (which ran all night according to the user) and a reboot of the machine, is only getting a black screen in both normal and safe mode. Any suggestions?
I'm checking to ensure the user can't access the laptop by connecting an external monitor (not sure if one is available or not) and to take the battery out and use corded power since the machine did run all night, but I'm not terribly hopeful on either of these.
Since the machine isn't booting past a black screen the registry backup and/or restore point aren't likely to be terribly helpful. Any advice welcomed.
