General Computer Support / upgrade the HHD to a SSD problems

Guys
I upgraded my laptop a few weeks ago - putting a new SSD in - replacing the HD.
Since then my PC has been behaving poorly.
I cloned the original drive and all appeared OK
when I run sfc it finds errors every time I run it - which I have done numerous times.
machine is running windows 8 Pro, 32 bit.
I tried to upgrade to 8.1 but it tells me I need to have admin rights to do so (upgrade)
I disabled the admin through Computer Management window
what can I do to improve the machine?

General Computer Support / refuses to boot - Black screen

Hi there
I haven't been on here in a long time - My HP Pavilion Dv6 laptop has been going well.
Runs Windows 8 Pro, 32 bit version, all updates current up to a week ago
Couple of weeks ago I was getting an intermittent problem with my wireless connection - error 701
A week ago I ran Tweaking for windows - followed all the guides, incl run in safe mode.
Yesterday, the machine would not boot.
Won't allow SFC
Won't boot in Safe Mode
Won't access a USB recovery stick - which works fine on another Laptop
Pulled the battery - for a cold start

Comes up with a black screen after the three colours windows with words "please wait"
I can access a DOS command screen.
Your thoughts?

Hi there
I have been using tweak windows repair.
When I run SFC, it tells me there are corrupt system files.
CBS. log attached
LAptop is a Windows 8, 32 bit, with latest updates.
2 weeks ago, I did a Windows Refresh - which was a major hassle.
And now I still have issues?
Shane, can you have a look and tell me how to fix this please.

General Computer Support / BIOS update

Hi there
I have tried using the intel website update page and when I run intel's device update program, it comes up with nil results.
The processor in my laptop is a
Intel Core i5 430M CPU at 2.27ghz
running Windows 8, 32 bit
Any suggestions much appreciated

General Computer Support / Mobile phone as a modem via USB

Hi there
As my Bluetooth is not an option, I would like to know where the advance settings are in Windows 8 to set the mobile phone as a modem via a USB cable.
A mate has given me some lines to add via AT command line;

Add this as an extra AT command, perhaps found in modem advanced settings menu:     +cdgcont=1,"IP","telstra.internet"
Set dialled number to:  *99**1*1#
Leave username and password as blank

If it had been XP, I may have know where this went??
Any help  appreciated.

General Computer Support / Broadcom Blueooth

Hi there
Your Windows repair program is fantastic.
I have Windows 8, Pro, 32 bit on our HP laptop.
Since installing W8 - the Bluetooth has never worked.
I have tried re-installing drivers, etc.
I get one error message with reference to Microsoft Stacks - unable to start.
In the Wireless/Bluetooth control window, the Bluetooth is always grayed out.
Any ideas?
