Will do,..still waiting on storage,..computer just updated,..usual very quick..reboot..job done..weird error on a computer thats never error ed...go figure,.just ran dism /filechecker .. uninstalled / reinstalled the store from command again, signed out / back into ms store,..still no change..had to laugh,..good old windows :-)

Ill let you know,..

Yes,..repair installs / reset seems very reliable these days,..funnily enough, ive assisted a couple people to do them recently, had no issues at all,..just being cautious..i guess,..actually,have quite a lot of remixed / cut music on the computer as well, better safe than sorry in this instance i think,..long past time i got some storage, backup, images organized,:-)

Guess we can mark this one as solved,..thanks for your imput and help,..

3
Ok,..went through the instructions in Geekpage,..same results as last time,..except,when i ran the Powershell Command,..it failed and removed app association,..so i got that error at the store also,..the difference this time being, running the WR(AIO),repair file associations fix didnt  work,as it did last time,..(might run them again, when ive got a minute),..

Im probably done with trying to troubleshoot this issue, for now..and will wait for next major update,..and if that doesnt work,..ill have to beat the computer to a pulp,..err,..reinstall it,..i mean,..once,i get some more storage,.

I just dont want to repair install without ;backing up,..i have business and study stuff,on the computer,..

Thanks for your imput,..much appreciated..:-)..

Thanks,i think ive tried everything in that article,..ill go through it though, just to be sure, and report back,..

Hi Boggin..

Actually i already tried the command you posted,..it returns the "not a recognized command error",..odd on a system that never really errors, and where dism restore health, and filechecker always comlete with no issues,..although i realize that's not definitive,..

This issue might have to wait for next reinstall,..im not going to repair install yet, mostly because ive run out of storage media and im going to wait till i purchase some more,to do it,..(i have a suspicion, that since this issue persists in a new user account, repair install might not fix it anyway,..

A virus is unlikely,.i have some Cyber security training and im used to monitoring my systems,..nothings showed with Eset online, malwarebytes,SASW,or anything else, during normal scanning..

Since its a small issue, and can live quite happily without ms store apps,i guess ill wait a bit,..see if an update fixes it,and try the repair install when i get more storage,..thanks for your assist though.:-)..

Dell Latitude 7380 8gb Windows 10 Pro
Current build

Hi all..

Occasionally i download one of ms store apps,to use on my system,..not had many issues with it,though i
know it can be glitchy..
Just tried to download a small app for the taskbar, and received following error..

Page cannot be loaded, please try again later > Error Code: 0x80131500

Fixes ive tried
Dism restore health +  Filechecker (no issues)
wsreset.exe- didnt work..(completed successfully but didn't help)
deleted the contents of the download directory and the datastore directory in
c:\windows\softwaredistribution -didnt work
Ran Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter - Suggested turning on UAC (makes no difference)..
Created a new user account,..issue still persists
Deleted SSD for user account in registry
Reset DNS

Any thoughts gratefully received,..

Looking around, the"Media refresh"is the latest version so probably the one you want, you can get
Win 7 with sp1 already intergrated here.

Think were solved on this one.
Thanks Shane. :artist:

I want to the link for Windows 7 SP1 iso. The question is what is the difference between Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 7 SP1 Media Refresh? Thanks This would be a good thing to have if I need to ever to a repair
.

Dont think theres a diference,Shane will probably confirm...as long as we use the same win version should be easy,or edit the ei.cfg file,ie remove it which will give version options on install.

Shane, thamks for your reply and for the links, was going in that direction.
Presumably if i use the iso on win 7 starter i need to edit it,ie remove the ei.cfg file so i get version
options on install?
Thanks.

Hi all,,having run sfc /scannow as part of periodic maintenence on my laptop i just got the
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log message

Windows 7 starter (group policy installed)_msi u135dx netbook - no install disk but system is imaged twice.
Just got this, second hand but barely used, problem here appeared after updating the computer (130 pending) also installed some gadgets - updated fine but now i get the file checker message.

Can anyone advise? thanks

What os are you running?xp is giving difficulties for a lot of people with updates lately, make sure you
have all relevant services running ie,Bits, win update, software licensing and use the latest update of internet explorer to update.

Hi,
Windows will normally keep restore points for months,so you may have system problems other than
the issue you posted.Have you run the file checker lately?Might be related to internet issues as well,
have you checked for virus,ie running Malwarebytes in safe mode?

Hi,Just a thought, have you tried a system restore to before you installed the ram disk,if it works could save
a lot of time, if not you can undo it,so nothing lost.

Did the fix again and rebooted-no change?i use the xen app cos its a great cleaner
and maintenance app for xp but i think the error affects other parts of the system than just dos app running? :undecided:
Seems v difficult to troubleshoot fr a simple error
any thoughts appreciated :artist:

Ok thanks ill do the fix again and reboot (think i did that last time time)
(did the ms fix and ran the file checker)
would it be worth rebuilding the reg key totally?
dos apps run if i ignore the error but i guess itll cause problems
somewhere down the road, installs and so on?
Any thoughts appreciated
Thanks Shane, awesome work youre doing on this site:)
