I get an error when trying to install:

Can't submit to BitDefender because the file won't extract.

Thanks,

Shane,

BitDefender has resolved the problem as of 19 Jun 2012. AVC no longer blocks execution.

Okay! I'll check with the author of SUMo to see if he is parsing the version number differently now. I have the hard-copy output that shows the old version as 1.7.3.0  :confused:

Tweaking.com Support & Help / Release level of "Windows Repair"

Shane,

What is the current release level of "Windows Repair". The old version was 1.7.3.0 and the current version is listed as 1.7.0.4 which by normal revision standards is lower than the previous release.

Usually revisions are major release, minor release, maintenance release, build number.

I use SUMo to keep track of my software version numbers and it's telling me I need to UPDATE to the PREVIOUS release. Huh?

Thanks,
Grouch

@Shane,

Like I said, it doesn't contain a "signature" of a known virus that it doesn't like. It's complaining about something suspicious it's doing when it first launches.

Thanks,
Grouch

@Shane,

It blocks the installed application. A "Full System Scan" and the "On Demand" scan of the file says nothing is wrong. When you try to run the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Tweaking.com\Windows Repair (All in One)\Repair_Windows.exe", BitDefender blocks it.

It is probably their fault being a little too zealous in their attempt to prevent "zero-day" viruses.

Thanks,
Grouch

@jbeck,

I have reported this problem to BitDefender but I have not gotten a response. The previous version did not trigger BD's "Active Virus Control". I hope to hear back tomorrow.

Thanks,
Grouch
