Tweaking.com Support & Help / A way to preserve my default programs

Hi there – I have enjoyed using this program since I purchased it and it has restored my Windows 10 system on a number of occasions. I think it is very useful and helpful.

Is there a way to have a script or a bat file of some sort that will reset all my default programs after I run a full repair of my Windows 10 system?

This feature would be very useful to me and save me a heap of time.

Cheers for now
Dan

Hello there,

I'm using Tweaking.com - Windows Repair v3.9.25

I've changed the repair setting somehow so that Microsoft edge becomes the default web browser but at the same time Internet Explorer 11 is removed from the list of choices when you go to change the default browser. Chrome and Firefox are left in the list but IE 11 is not even in the list of choices.

IE 11 is still installed, still shows on the taskbar and all the desktop shortcuts work but I can't find out anywhere how to get this setting back so that I can make IE 11 my default Internet browser.

I don't like edge as it doesn't run as I would like it to and I'm not concerned about security issues as I take control of those matters myself. I run my Windows 10 system as though it was Windows 7 in the look and feel.

Cheers for now
dan
