I have run Tdsskiller a few different times and it found nothing , i have run Malwarebytes and it's rootkit scan and it also came up with nothing.   Majorgeeks had me run MG tools and i posted a log and one guy said he saw no malware , but i don't know for sure.

Maybe i need to run the Combofix

OK, yes the TDW only comes up when i click more info .  When i clicked on system restore i got this pop up (do you want to make changes from an unknown publisher ) and here is what it says (rstrui.exe)

One odd thing is when i want more info on something like a certain file the computer automatically goes to the windows media center page.

Regarding your question about the diagnostic windows tool opening and popping up when going to windows , no it doesn't do that, it does that only when i click on certain files.

I think i'm missing certain files or something because i am seeing this file called winsxs/temp/pending renames when i do a scan.

Hi Shane, i ran your all in one windows repair because i finally was given the green light my Majorgeeks that my computer was malware free. A certain file keeps popping up and i'm not positive why this is not being fixed in your program , it's called msdt.exe and supposedly it's a critical windows system file.

It never came up or showed itself after i used your program in the past so what do you think it is and how do i fix it.  I should say i left the repair wmi and repair windows firewall unchecked in my most recent repair because it makes the anti virus unnoticed in action center and i find that annoying even though i can uncheck the box.

Thanks

I understand and do not let fanaticism cloud my judgement, the internet has been a positive tool and negative tool but the fact remains far too many people use it to spread BS (if you will) over a minor misunderstanding and thats extremely unfortunate .

Like i said my comments are from doing and trying many many different programs and corresponding with people in the tech field, and it is not only my opinion but the opinion of so many top techs in this industry that Tweaking .coms programs are top shelf across the board.

All i ask is don't rush to judgement.  Shane is always referred to as a step above by his peers and that says something.

Appreciate your understanding though Pierre

Please do not publish anything negative about Tweaking .com, i am not affiliated with them , just an inept computer user always running into problems . I have tried just about every service out there and Shanes services are the best , no question about it.

Shanes programs are always an editors choice on sites like Major Geeks and others , his programs do not contain any malware of any kind (this is fact) .

I have recommended his services to everybody i know and anybody who wants the best should do the same. To offer these outstanding programs for free is so generous and i encourage anybody that can afford to donate to please do it.

There are not many people who are as willing to share their expertise and good will as this gentlemen does, he truly cares about helping his fellow man and is really something special.  I wish more in todays world had his character.

Hi, Shane, i tried to download your SVC host program but a pop up keeps telling me that this is an unsafe program that will harm my computer and i'm afraid it's malware.

I should tell you that i currently have been trying to delete the Heur Trojan that Kasperskey detected but nothing has worked. I have tried just about all methods and programs described on the "greatest free security list in the world page" to no avail. Do you think the messages i'm getting from the program are from this Trojan?

As always, love your programs and i'm so greatful for your help and caring nature. Oh, even though the attachment claims to show a deleted Trojan i don't think it is deleted because i have tried deleting it following Kasperskys advice .  They claim to click on it and go to it's original folder then select all and hit delete but it refuses to delete.

I apologize about getting the programs mixed up.  That's good to know, i find your programs to be very helpful and trustworthy. I always end up at Tweaking when i'm at wits end,  but thats directly related to my atrocious computing skills more than my desire to want to be here.

Thanks again

After using advanced system tweaker for some reason in action center it says currently not monitoring and to find another Anti virus online.  I cant figure it out because my Kaspersky anti virus says everythings fine outside of action center.

I did make sure to turn it off temporarily during the fixing part like the program stated.  What i did was download the AST on to my computer and when i got to the fix all the issues part  i disabled my AV and let it run off line since it was disabled.

Now action center is telling me i have no current AV but outside of it it works fine. Thanks Shane and your services are real lifesavers.  If i didn't need to rip up couch cushions to find bus fare i would contribute in a NY minute.  I do however tell everybody i know about how good your programs are.

My asus laptop says that my  recovery partition is not available when i try to make a recovery disk.  I am also curious as to why my windows update feature displays that it has never been updated even though it has when you go to the list of installed updates.

Excellent product you have by the way.
