Hi,
                  My default gateway and dhcp server show the same access point. Is it normal or should i configure. I do not have any connection problem. what this means.

Hi, Shane,
                 I request that a sub forum of prescan missing files may be stared to post those threads separatelyl.
                Now , i see many persons are asking for missing cat files , package and mum files. It is from the prescan of all in one repair. I would suggest a sub forum for this exclusively as everyone is using your prescan and come up with those files, which they could not know as not updated.
               as the requests are more, my suggestion may be considered at your level

Feedback & Suggestions / Your repair program some suggestions

Hi, I ran your latest repair programs and it fixes so many things.
          My presumption is when a repair is selected , the program goes to the particular components and access and see whether all are ok , and if not repairing with existing default entries to correct any missing and then give successful completion of the repair.
             Particularly on permission and registry , this program takes time to complete. It seems it is scanning all the registry entries one by one and correcting each to the default window system entries.
            I welcome the change of showing the command prompts while repairing. I think, it auto overwrites all the entries in registry as well as in other components in question totally, instead of touching the problematic entries only thus taking extra time to finish.
             Shane, my suggestion is to scan the entries and touch only the problematic entries. This will save time. If this is not feasible just ignore it.
               Then a kind of showing the real problem in selected items may be shown during the repair,in the repair window may be attempted.

            My suggestion is to improve the program, it takes cpu resource nearly totally while fixing these registry changes. It is also a well known fact that it does not touches the other entries if made by third party programs.

Hi, I want to know if it is possible to change the settings in your reuter settings by virus or trojans even if it is giving NAT mode security ISP ? Normally reuters are secured as long as you do not allow anybody to your computer. But, could it be done by virus, to stop the internet access?
                Did you come across? If , how to be secured even in this.

General Computer Support / why i cannot connect to my reuter in any browser?

I want to view the reuter page. Normally by logging in to 192.168.1.1 one gets his reuter page to view soe information about the user by adding the password etc.
           I could not open the said in my browser.
            I have the manual entries in internet option, as advised by the service provider.
             Is this common error. I get problem loading or connection timed out errrors. ple

Hi,
                    My auto update settings changed auto from manual , even if i choose the manual in updating. I do not say more on this .
                     How it is updating all the updates, and if i go to windows update settings, it is showing green colour, even i changed to other options which gives amber colour.
                     Do any body has idea? or Is it forced on the system by microsoft? If so, how settings could be changed to suit its design. If that is the case, why choice menu in updating given by microsoft.
                      Is it not a thing that msoft compels? Did you notice this ?
                      What is the advantage the msoft achieving by attmpting such cheap tactics?
                      You do not have any control over its settings in individual programs.
                      Just releasing updates and changing the update settings?

General Computer Support / My mouse getting power off while running windows, there by hangs computer

Hi,
                The problem is of recent one. While i was browsing or doing a virus scan by panda, suddenly mouse disappears. One or two times, i tried unplugging and re plugging. It worked. Suddenly it stopped working totally . I could not do anything but force power off to reboot.
                  On reboot, it took its natural disk check to boot and my mouse is back in action. I could see it is powered. Why this behaviour? Is it anything drivers update connected issue. But normally it is working and it is original logitech mouse recently changed.
                        How could a device could auto switch off

Hi,
                    Glad that Shane, boggins and Julian are giving zip solultion to the cat and mum files for file package missing in aio prescan.
                               But i do not know, how those packages are getting killed. is that their pcs update failed while installing those packages.
                                   Are virus, trojan and whatnot corrupt their updates with some programs
                               I did the prescan with the expectation of getting packages missing. But it went on smoothly. Glad that so much are using AIO by Shane. As it is a free tool , by running this prescan, one can be sure to get the missing files.
                                         i normally use windows 7 system readiness tool for any missing updates.

General Computer Support / Resource monitor does not show anything in Disk, how could it be?

Hi,
                    One of my friends pc, if using resource monitor shows only blank when he clicks on disk.
Shane, are there anything in your windows repair, to correct this. As this appears to be strange, that even system is not shown in disk.
                                       process tab did show process, but disk is showing blank. Would you try to include a fix for this. The activity is shown in the side map, moving.
                                         Is there a fix for it. if not please include in your all in repair. Thanks

Now I am using gmail, but i could only access the enclosures thro its server other than the downloads.
                        Somebody says that outlook could give a solution to store the contents also in offline and one could access in the absence of internet. Is it true. If it is, then how to stop the outlook to steal all the emails in gmails to its folder. I mean, i want a copy stored in gmail also in case anything happens to the computer. Pl

Hi,
                         Sometimes inadvertently some information have been enclosed by the OP. There is a modify button to edit the text. But there is no removal or edit the content of the text sent button in this program. The administrator or moderator should be able to edit in case if it could not be removed or edit.
                                        Please inform Shane, Boggins, Julians .....
                                                          If it is able to be removed by the moderators well and good, if he finds any classified information crept in to the text file that is a key information. If OP, request is there, the moderator may be able to remove the contents and edit and save the contents in the thread

                         I randomly check for unknown device. But to my surprise, my computer name is shown as unknown device and its installed date as shown as this novermber 18. How to check , what has been missing as drivers for the computer, which is working normally otherwise.

Hi, This is a query for you, Shane,
                                    I have added some jpg files from internet side by downloading them and then adding to cs wall paper ADD . It was working perfectly, but all of a sudden, i experienced a strange behaviour. All of the files inside the folder have disappeared in thin air, as if by magic.
                                           Now i have only one desktop , for which also i do not find any file in the wallpaper box, showing the added files.
                                                       I have attached those files by going to the add in your program and then added those wall papers. I will try to find myself to what has happened to the desktop folder .

General Computer Support / safe mode and net working not opening windows for effective repair

Hi,
                                  I tried the AIO repair and found no errors in general window scan.
                                     But i tried to run this in safemode and networking, the computer loaded some files, and stayed there for long time, informing me that it is not working or loading windows for some time. Normally safe mode itself would load without internet connectivity. But i tried one or two times, the above mode and it just stops at loading of some initial files in cmd prompt.
                                              Any idea what is wrong?

                         I ran sfc /scannow and then readiness tool as updated today in msft site.
                                   Why i get this error, even when no errors deducted while installing readiness tool.
                                             I presume that there is no update error in installing windows updates.

Hi,
                Now I am using mcafee site advisor. It shows coloured code ratings for sites. The real drawback is that it shows suspicious sites as not suspicious and non suspicious sites as suspicious. For eg cnet as not suspicious but it is as for as i know.
                                  It is not correct.
                                               Would any one suggest the best. Some of the site advisor programmes does not show the ratings at the links, but at the top of the browser. If you want it , you have to choose the link to view. But the link opens immediately. Mcafee is the only one gives the rating at the link it self.
                                                  Would any one suggest alternatives, like mcafee, that too free,

Hi,
                       I tried to run the gif file as wall paper and it shows it as mere picture. But if i open that with internet explorer, then it gives animation.
                            When i could play the gif files in my previous xp version, i could not find ways to do the same in higher windows 7 ultimate.
                                       Probably MSFT would have disabled some features of xp in windows 7. Would you share the trick so that i could also get it play animation in wallpaper or as scr

Hi,
                   It is strange. When i test page printer, it prints in black. The colour is not empty but dried.
                            But when i try to print a scanned jpg image, it does not print . The colour is not shown. The printer is but printing, by taking the paper in and eject it out as if it is printing perfectly.
                                          What would be the cause of this. Any solution

Hi,
                          Though i have the latest adobe reader ff plugin check reveals that adobe reader needs to be updated. I am using adobe reader dc latest from their sites.
                                        Why? Is it a bug in ff or actual. If i try to install , it goes to the same page, and if i download the same, it gives a message that already higher version is installed and asked to me close the dialog box with finish button. There is nothing i could do. I uninstalled and reinstalled but the same result. How to solve this
