I think the problem is a little more deeper than that!

We know for example that Adobe for years has been using back doors to provide data for personal and security use!

It happened when I opened a PDF file, but why not other PDF files?

Lets extract that part of the problem from the registry to read the command;
how to do that?

Its a GOOD idea;

when someone restarts in safe mode, and this issue is here; can right click the mouse options to do ?

106
Dear Intel; Please kindly create a program to fix this issue as it is a black-screen issue and related to video drivers problem

upgrade repair failed to repair...

110
I been around here for years in this hub and some others;

myself, I dont see the true benefit to repairing so many things without them being checked to be needed to repair, a side by side repair is the only method that makes sense, meaning user has a DIY interface to make repairs.

Additionally; this recent problem of me re-installing win7 and MSOffice which still did not fix that original icon problem shows us how vulnerable we are the viruses. programs outside of operating systems will in the future need to be run in sandbox environments.

thanks for trying

111
A better idea is to examine why; as it turns out the registry key for office 2007 was pointing to a directory with no icons.

I do believable that copying those icons to the file folder worked Watson.

Reference Zip File Attached a fix-it here rather than re-install everything is highly more efficient...

113
Interesting...................................

See image attached;

i have no words other than to say,  whats up here?

114
rebuild the Icon database code;

taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
cd /d %userprofile%\AppData\Local
del IconCache.db /a
start explorer.exe

Please review the zip file on this page;

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_install-mso_other/office-icons-are-all-missingreplaced-by-generic/d9e13b4f-959b-48f4-b7f3-bc897c2fbad9

Suggested repair method to review;

115
For example;

this program helps to check installed programs and uninstall them; useful when you can not uninstall any other way which is annoying because why should we need to buy it separately?

http://www.revouninstaller.com/
If you use this method, re-install the programs before running any fix-it applications!

however, is their another program that helps to re-install broken installed program links that can not repair nor reinstall?
It is most disturbing when some programs users use costs a lot of money...

additionally, a clean program folder should give us cleaner systems and repairs when run!
Folder to be checked: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
Message shouild popup and say; "Tweak can not run because Uninstall info is incorrect"; click here to fix it etc...
File associations should also be checked more carefully before any repairs are run!

And lastly, I still suggest a side by side fix that shows what will change with a tick box to make the changes...

at this juncture, we doing the upgrade repair...

I would suggest that running the system update readiness tool is useful, it did not solve the issues.

117
Boggin, what I found re-installing using the upgrade method is to set the compatibility mode;

its hard to give examples because we don't know which system is being repaired, restored,reinstalled etc...

but it safe to say, the last one on the compatibility mode list.

118
When I installed the program , it said its part of MBytes now... end of story their!

I proceeded to run the program, it suggested what I referenced, end of story their!

I unchecked what I did not want changed, end of story their!

upon clicking next, it did not save what it did and still removed what I unchecked, end of story their!

Suggesting tencent is a problem is like dropping a nuclear computer virus on China... End of story their!

Do I have system problems and some backups, yes, end of story their!
But why do I need to take those measures, that version of Mbytes is no better than JRT which I also don't advise anyone running...

Next up is; any and all programs like this should run in a sandbox environment so as not to delete what it suggests it finds until the program has proven itself not to do THIS AGAIN! Ever...

Your all welcome for the advice!

119
boggin, no program should set policies delete or restore to default is OK but not set them...

I have had this similar problem installing tweaking too.

I have been unable to do practically no adm privilege in even adm account...

Well, I am referring the one you said had suspicious code;

I posted it here because it is all the things I removed from my registry that cleaners can not do; other viewers would have really liked to have that code.
And no, I did not save it to post again

122
I don't believe I rant here, and god bless me to not curse here but; BUT MALWARE BYTES, you will be blocked in CHINA!

I can tell you clearly, I use tencent daily and deleting my tencent folder is equal to causing me economic harm, you might as well burn down my factory SIR!

The worst part is/ it did not save it to restore it;

YOU TRULY BURNED DOWN A FACTORY, WHAT IS THE RECOURSE IF YOU HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED DOING SO?

Literally years of my life and hard work simply GONE...

123
The new AD-AWARE from Malware Bytes does not save the backup or quarantine file;

it found Tencent as adware, proceeded to delete my directory even though I unchecked it.

Deleting ones work is equal to economic "?"
we would ban Malware Bytes;

They know Tencent is already a false positive yet allow it to run in ad-aware.

For example;

what will be the "code" to run this command from my win7 ISO on my computer?

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:C:\RepairSource\Windows /LimitAccess

My file is located at;

"C:\Downloads\Windows7 32Bit-Lenovo\"
