Tweaking.com Support & Help / Re: update history gone on Windows 10
« on: June 30, 2016, 11:30:04 am »
Hmm have you tried a restore on apps. Via windows recover in the settings app? Or is that not an option? The reason why I ask is because im not sure which version of window 10 you are using because there is an app command but Shane has it disabled on versions before the 318 if you can open up windows repair and it should show your version of windows 10 let me know.

okay I was talking to Shane he said after you did a restore from a backup check your security tab on your registry hive if manage acl is crashing when restoring all it does is change the permissions on the registry hive files themselves when restoring make sure those permissions are correct the file locations are C:\Windows\System32\config.

Off topic:Rick! You are alive! Lol long time since I've seen you on the forums!

Back on topic obs should have a screen capture mode or a program capture only mode and you have to just enable the recording. It should save the video in the video folders.

Reinstall windows repair see if that helps back up your settings.ini first and just drop it back in that folder.

I can't tell you what that antivirus decided to flag as a false positive. To be honest heuristics on a lot of antivirus programs pop up with false positives ...like I said for all I know they decided to flag the package manager. It can be anything but if only one is showing it and everyone else is showing safe then im sure its a false positive and im done explaining this.

135
jUst uploaded it to virus total and it looks like nod32 eset is the only one that showed that. sometimes the heuristics engine on antivirus programs are sensitive. Lol... I don't know what they flagged maybe the package manager but I can guarantee if you download it from the link you have provided then it is safe.
Thanks,
Julian

What antivirus you use?

Hmmm I wonder if its corrupt registry keys that you are reloading...

141
Hmmmm let me see If paging files are defined across multiple disks, then the paging file that is available first is used .... So you see Im curious if your file you are opening is on your g: drive and since you have 2 page files its choosing that one. Which you have stated is only 1024 MB.

142
So I have a couple questions is this a USB drive you are talking about and also do you have it encrypted? Oh and do you have it set for ready boost?

I got your prescan fixed in the cat and mum thread you posted let me see about those manifest files you are running windows 7 correct?

145
Well in windows 8 and 10 the app store creates unknown sids I would say leave those sids alone because removing them may cause further headaches. Hmmm let me think for a moment... Have you tried to run the registry and file permission repair already.

146
You are getting unknown sids?

147
What kind of processor do you have?
