hmmm is it missing is the question can you open up c:\windows \system32\ and in the search box on the top right type in ole32.dll if you find it can you right click properties and go to details and can you tell me the file version thank you.

977
alright nothing in bad sectors that is good. looks like it cleaned up some unused security descriptors.  What I'm wondering is if your ole32.dll is not registered
open up command prompt and type in
Code: [Select]
regsvr32 ole32.dll

Hi,

When we want decimals, we could set it in excel. Is there any mechanism, in excel, that if i select time format , 01:30 pm, and then enter 0130, it should change itself to 01:30, without manually typing : character. It takes a whole of time to have the time format and then type in each cell. Anybody having solution pl

I'm actually not to sure I never use excel hopefully this helps you out.

Tweaking.com Support & Help / Uploading Zip files in a post.
« on: June 16, 2015, 12:11:00 am »
Alright so what I'm curious about is what is that max limit of uploading a file To a post. I tried uploading a zip file with 84mb. And I would watch the stats of the connection info as IE is loading the page and when it finish's I get redirected to start a new topic and it's blank I'm not sure if the server is giving me a rest packet and not completing the forum post or what...
uploaded a picture of the connection info

Looks like the updates that dont need .net installed fine but all other updates that need .net failed.

So that means the problem is with .net. Have you used the .net removal tool I have posted on here to others yet? If not I can grab it for you when I get back :-)

Shane
@Shane
Sorry for bumpin in this thread Shane.

@Markku
here are steps I used in another thread It helped out another person in the forums with .net issues

Alright lets try uninstalling .net framework all versions from control panel>uninstall programs. Then reboot the computer
link to my google drive
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzL6vscbQmRKfk5oYjhQUXE3b2owa2RuVTBJb2dLeXZIQVItQ005Vi02ekFRSWFZWm9FNGs&usp=sharing

I added an easy .net 4.5.2 install to my google drive. download it and and unzip run the Automated-Install-Script as admin. reboot and let me know what happens :D
its 86 mb so it may take awhile to download its all the updates with it

982
So I don't know what happened here because I also copied my check disk logs and repair logs....but I don't see them...so just tell me what is needed....
Hmmm I can't find your posted log no worries do this:

If you havent done a bad sector check yet, open a cmd.exe window as administrator and put in
chkdsk c: /r

It will say it cant because it is in use and would you like to schedule it, hit Y and then reboot. The chkdsk should start before windows does, go watch a movie and come back, when the scan is done the results will be in the event viewer, post those for me

Shane
I've noticed on forums most people understand steps with pictures so ive setup a picture on the steps you need to take

32 bit or 64 bit?
A couple more things. I'm running Win7 SP1. After getting the above in the pre-scan, I finished running the complete repair. I re-ran the pre-scan and got the same results. My computer is running fine, just can't get all the Windows updates to install.

Buy??? I got the free version :D

When my LEGIT key is picky with the activation Because sometimes windows activation can be picky

slmgr -dli  (this will display the current activation/licensing info of the pc your on)

slmgr -ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (allows you to replace the current product key with the specified)

slmgr -xpr (shows expiration date of current license)

slmgr -upk (uninstalls current product key and i would assume puts license back to trial state)

slmgr -ato (activates current pc’s license)

So the steps I take is I run slmgr -upk and uninstall my product key
then I run slmgr -ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (replace x's with you Microsoft product key.)
after that complete's I run
slmgr -ato

Just a side note if you do not give slmgr -ipk a valid product code it will fail on the
slmgr -ato

(after several reinstalling my license locked!)

Usually you can only install to 3 computers max depending on the version of windows you bought. Unfortunately I can't give you any information on licensing windows.

Alright So I need to know what version of windows you are running.
Are you running the repair program in safemode? ( I uploaded a safemode batch file to help you get into safe mode on windows 8. if you needed help getting in that  :cheesy:)
lets skip the option for SFC for now and do a registry back then run the repairs.

Side note:
If you use my safemode Batch file Run as Administrator and choose the option for safemode with networking

This says it is from September of last year. Odd...

Yeah Just right click and say hide.

Odd, this update is from 2012
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30547

You would of had that installed a long time ago, unless Windows updates thinks it isnt installed for some reason but when it goes to install it sees it is and just errors out. This might just be a hicupp and you can just hide this update. The fact that it shows up 3 years after its release makes me think that. You would of had this installed a long time ago.

Shane

I've seen this happen with sp1 on my windows 7 vmware.

in option 2 under the pre-scan tool you just need to repair reparse points I Believe.
