Not sure then. All my files are here and machine is running like never before. Maybe problem solved! Now to install program that started all of this.

A clean install is what it said in Recovery, for the second try, but my files are still there. The first try was a reset and said many windows setting would not change.

I believe that is what I'm doing. I did it once and loaded the proprietary drivers from the mfg and things immediately slowed down. So now I have done it again,  the proprietary drivers, and it is running like I think it should. Now to install my programs.

I seem to have a few conflicts going on so I am doing a recovery that re-installs a new copy of Win 10. This lap top always seemed slow from day one.

I have an Asus X550CA Lap Top. It does not have bluetooth. I purchased an Asus Bluetooth Adapter and it has a conflict wit the keyboard, some keys don't work. Device manger shows it working properly. Device manger also shows only coms 3 &4 in use for bluetooth. No mention of other com ports. When trying to connect to my bluetooth OBD II it gets an error no network found. I don't think it is the interface software or hardware becaust it works on a different laptop.

Any Suggestions??

Thanks in advance
Glenn Blohm

Not fall back method didn't help. I ran chkdsk again and then it worked, once. I think I was in safe mode at that time. I just tried not in safe mode and it failed. Tweaking.com has fixed many of my problems so I may just forget it for now.

It doesn't look like it. I did an export from regedit and that worked, but I don't think that is the same thing. See attachement.

It might be this.
I am having trouble installing  an update to a program and clicked on the installer in the original install folder. The problem is a DLL missing. It works in safe mode but won't complete because the print spooler won't start in services.
