Windows Repair, excellent attempt. Thanks so much for your efforts. Two bits of feedback. In my case, zip files were no longer associated with explorer and this association was not repaired by your tool. Could you consider adding this? Thanks.
Second, I realize the difficulty of deciding how to handle this but in my case I was using the Norton firewall and so turning on the windows firewall may have been contraindicated. Just a comment.
