Start Services Not responding
« on: June 06, 2013, 08:44:48 am »
I have just ran tweaking on my laptop but I still have the same problem. If after typing msconfig and them going to the Services Tab, I Untick any service and the Click OK, the Busy circle appears and keeps on circling. I bring up the Task Manager and is says it is not responding. If I shut down the Process and the Shut Down my Laptop it just Hangs. I have to press the Power switch to turn it off.
It turns on again with the Window offering me the choice for a Safe start up, I choose Normal Start and everything works OK.
Any suggestions?

Have you ran a scan on the hard drive for bad sectors yet and have you ran a memory test yet as well?

This way we can count out if it is a hardware problem :-)

yes, please do a hard drive test first!

CHKDSK / F
or
CHKDSK /X /F

Search google, how to disable services.msc in registry, it will tell you where to look and check to see if it is in fact disabled...

Probably would not hurt;
SFC /scannow
if SFC Scannow does not work, then it is a problem with a trojan. I used
the kaspersky TDS Killer to remove. "do not use unless you have a problem"
