Never heard of it. I normally do these things manually.

The trick is the hard drive. The hard drive is the bottle neck and is what you are waiting on during boot up. The SSD drives help with this a lot and boot up times are great (Dont have a SSD yet, to pricey) since a normal SSD drive is 2 to 4 times faster than a normal drive.
So disabling services you don't need and don't have programs at startup you dont need helps a lot. Because it is that much less the drive has to read and open.
