motherboards fan headers

  hi shane ive got  a motherboard  with 4 fan headers  2   of the pre-installed fans  have a 3 speed switch  but the motherboards  can control the speed   so should i plug them into the motherboard an set them to the highest speed  or should i just hook them  straight into the  psu   thanks

You shouldn't need them on the highest (Will be loud). I have mine on the lowest (Nice and quiet), such as my hard drive fans.

As long as air is moving across them it is moving the heat away and then the rear case fan blows it out :-)

 hi shane i meant  the fan has a 3 speed switch  is it ok to hook it up to the motherboard header   the bois    has   a fan speed  option  its has a   uefi  bois   because  motherboard has 4 fan headers  kinda want to plug them into  it if it wouldnt hurt  motherboard by doing so  thanks

Just use the speed control that came with the fan, put it on low, and you should be fine :wink:
