When you say link, do you mean from a web page? If so what browser?

Are you able to download a pdf and open it directly?

While trying to open a pdf file or the pdf program from my computer on another user account...

Please note; did a repair already from programs install menu, running the latest version. (if run the program as adm, it opens adobe, but that is not the answer here we need as any account should be able to open the pdf reader from any user account)

Where is the file located on the drive? Reason why I ask is in Windows if a user tries to access any files outside their profile it requires admin rights. But if the file is in the users profile, like the desktop or documents then they dont need admin rights.

Personally I just turn off the UAC, all it does is train users to click ok on everything they see without reading it, and it sure as heck doesnt stop viruses lol

the user is a standard user; PDF reader is in the program menu, should already be fine to open.
