XP Service Pack 3 - 6 Hours on One Repair?

I am running the repair program on a Windows XP Service Pack 3 Desktop . 44 Repairs needed but the program has been on repair #7 (Internet explorer) for over 6 hours now. Is this a normal run time? I am running in safe mode with networking as advised. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not normal at all, that repair is just registering files. Did you make sure to run all the repairs in safe mode to make sure no 3rd party programs mess with the repairs?
