The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

I already have those updates hidden.

At one time I just used to let everything install but now I click on each update and then on More info in the right pane and if it mentions anything about ease of update or anything to do with updates, I hide them.

These are what I currently have hidden which are mostly Win 10/Telemetry related -

Hi, How to do.
I have updated all the things. Can i select those and delete? What is hiding of updates? Is that it will not show, in check for updates?
Please, say , as i have doubt, then even if you, delete, it will again look for updates as per wu settings and come back to haunt. Pl

N.B      If i install those updates, there is a warning that computer would not boot at all after uninstall? and there is a confusing idea of shutting down the computer before closing of uninstallation progress given in the link.

To uninstall an update go to Installed Updates, put KB plus the number into the top right search box and when it comes up, right click on it and select Uninstall.

You can only do one at a time and they will be re-offered.

When they do, click on Important or Optional however the case may be then right click on each and select Hide.

Before you do this though, go into Windows Update and change the update settings to Check for but let me choose...

This way they won't auto install on shutdown and any future updates can be vetted as I've previously described and hidden if not wanted or not applicable.

I think a couple of the ones I've hidden are to enable the font for a foreign currency symbol to be typed.

Usually but not always.

I think some IE updates are architecture specific where they are shown as x64 which I get for my Win 7.

Hi,
Shane, what is the telemetry updates by microsoft?
Will there be a period when all the computers have been updated to windows 10, other users , having lesser version including xp"s activities will be monitored by it?
what is telemetry updates? is it different from useful updates? Where were you for some days?
The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".
