Author Topic: Can't Get Registry Repair to Run Automatically with Windows 10 (Read 7909 times)

I have recently upgraded to Windows 10, and I am now unable to get Registry Repair to run automatically as it did under Windows 7 with no problem whatsoever. It is set to run under Current User Account. Run Options is set to Normal. It displays as a Task Under Task Scheduler, with "Configure For" set to Windows 10. Triggers is set to "At logon of any user". Actions is set to "Start A Program" with the correct path to the Registry Backup executable. Yet whenever I reboot, the program does NOT run; I have found no way to run it except Manually. Is there a setting I missed?

Not sure what the question is? Yes, my question had to do with Registry Repair.

I dont have a "registry repair" program so I am confused lol

Not sure if you are talking about my "Windows Repair" or my "Registry Backup" or if you are talking about some other program

In the task scheduler you should see the column of last result, what does it show?

So sorry....I have them both and I guess I unconsciously combined the two names.

The last three results are "Stopped", "Stopped" and "Unknown"

Ok do this, open the registry backup and go to the settings tab, click the delete schedule button.

Then to the left of that make sure it is set to run as the current user account and then click create schedule button and then go try it.

If it is set to run under the system account the program wont show when it runs

As per my original email, it was already set to "Current User Account" (trust me, I went through the Instructions step-by-step to make sure I hadn't missed anything). I confirmed when I opened it that that Setting was unchanged. However I deleted the Schedule, Created it again, and rebooted, just to double check. I believe it is set to run whenever Windows is started with the limitation of one per day (although I can't find that setting now), but it did not run.

It is set to do the backup 5 min after login, I have it set that way so startup programs have a chance to open and run and make any changes they need

If you open registry backup and go to the restore tab do you have backups in there?
