Powerdrain... who'd have thought it?
« on: February 22, 2017, 06:46:13 am »
Hi,

For weeks, I've had a problem with a VPN dropping out, coupled with an error on the Network icon on a Windows 10 machine. From the connection logs it looked like the problem might be with the WMI.

I downloaded Windows Repair Free and actually took note of your advice on powerdraining your machine.

After simply doing that, the machine came up clean as a whistle and the VPN is now rock solid.

I'll be signing up for the Pro licence!

Many thanks for a thoughtfully crafted utility with useful explanations.

Cheers,
Ron

How often do you shut the machine down overnight - that will have the same effect.

To be honest, very rarely, but I see what you mean.
