Windows 7 Media Player
« on: October 22, 2012, 07:02:56 pm »
Hello,

Is there a way to change the default locations where Media Player stores and retrives the image files for my CD music collection?

It seems that feature is always getting messed up and I have to repair and restore this feature constantly to keep each CD cover show the cover picture.

Thank You

Not that I am aware of. The Windows Media Player doesnt have a lot of options to change things.

But at the same time I dont ever user the media player as I think it is too bulky. Instead I use winamp and Windows Media Player Classic.

Thank You Shane for the quick reply,

I have found that I am also using Media Player Classic more and more for videos.

What version of winamp do you recommend and does it keep track of the Cd info and cover art?

Thanks Again

I just use the current free version of Winamp to play my music as I like to set the equalizer to rock lol

I use media player classic for all my videos.

As for the art and video and keep them with the mp3's themselves in the same folder. You will have hidden files in those folders named AlbumArtSmall.jpg and so on.

Most players know to pull from there to pull the info. Otherwise I just do it myself. But at the same time I dont have insane amount of music lol.
