If you're writing here it's because you have a video card on your computer, connected to the monitor.

If you have Windows 7:
Start menu -> right-click on Computer, click on Properties,  then click on Device Manager entry in the left column.
Double-click on Display Adapters section... it will appear the name of your video card. Select it, and Right click on it -> Properties.
Open the Drivers tab (next to General Tab) and you will see the date and the version of your video drivers.

If you have Windows XP:
Start menu  -> right-click on My Computer, click on Properties, then click on Hardware Tab, then you will see Device Manager.
Double-click on Display Adapters section... it will appear the name of your video card. Select it, and right-click on it -> Properties.
Open the Drivers tab (next to General Tab) and you will see the date and the version of your video drivers.

And now what?
Can I install the latest version over the previous version, or should first remove the older driver?

Should be able to just install it

Once done reboot and see how the system does and if you get any more blue screens.

How soon does the blue screen happen when you turn the system on?

Does it happen when you go into safe mode?

So you only get the blue screen in the Volume shadow copy service starts up from my backup program.

So now lets find out if it is the system restore causing it or my reg backup program.

In the repair windows program, at the step to backup the system click on the system restore one first.

Do you get a blue screen?

You didn't say which backup is doing the blue screen. Did it blue screen when doing the system restore or blue screen with my reg backup?

They both use the Volume Shadow Copy service to do the backup.

So that looks to be the problem. Have you done all Windows updates yet?

Also have you tried opening the System restore manually and doing a backup?

Before you do the updates you may want to turn off system restore so the updates dont try to do a backup to it and you get the blue screen :-)

I had to re-format my computer again but got something  and then I had to format my system  where I have a virus problem!

I scan my system with many portable protection programs but unfortunately this software has detected Windows files as malware and I keep removing process system files, and other malicious software including detected your program! as(Malware)

Remember that all Shane's software is legitimate, even though some protection programs can state the contrary.

That is because I am just one person and my programs are only a year old or less.

Without being a big company they tend to block anything that isnt well known

Clean of course.

If you ever have a program you are not sure on upload it to virustotal.com

You may see 1 or 2 list it but a lot of them will have "GEN" in the virus name, which stands for generic and is normally just a false positive.

Besides, do you think I would have viruses out there with the kind of support I try to give lol. It would defeat the purpose of trying to make this a popular site :-)
