I cleaned that virus off of 3 machines this week on my customers already.
On one Windows XP machine the virus destroyed the DHCP service, the reg keys where gone. Nothing could fix it but a reinstall.
The 2 others where Win 7. I ran my windows repair on both and had no trouble.
So lets see if we can find out whats going on with yours.

Does your network icon by your clock have a yellow !
Also open a command window.
Put in ipconfig. What local IP info do you get.
Then in the command window try these 2 commands
ping google.com
and
ping 8.8.8.8
