TP LINK MODEM TD-8901G cannot activate NAT(port forwarding)
« on: December 05, 2012, 01:53:35 am »
Hi Shane
I have above said router-modem and i want to access my home computer using NAT (port forwarding) remotely.
1. It is on bridge mode.
2. when I go to Advance setup --> NAT, it shows that its deactivated.
can you help me out to make port forwarding possible?

Thanks in advance

Vik

I normally handle all the router and port forwarding questions in my pcwintech.com forums

So you will want to post there for that.

But real quick on yours. Bridge mode is where the router/modem no longer acts as a router and only a modem. Which means the internet IP should be going to another device, perhaps your system? If so then every port should be open to you.

But if it isnt then you have to take it out of bridge mode to get NAT (Being a router) back.

Shane
