Computer Help / Re: How to remove this Malware?

This thread has been closed. The help was not taken and a disrespectful comment was posted and deleted. There are plenty of tools already created to do this and more @

Otherwise I can't tell, it almost seems more like he was offering his registry tweaks to Shane for the program but it's in the wrong forum so maybe that was the confusion?

Either way, this is closed and locked.

2 - Windows Repair v3.9.0 Released at

The Repair Windows 8/10 App Store has been re-enabled for Windows 10! In the May 2016 update to Windows 10 Microsoft finally fixed the 7 month old bug where calling the powershell commands to install the apps would break a large portion of them. Now that this has been fixed I have enabled the repair for Windows 10 again. The minimum build number Windows 10 must have for the repair to work is 10586.318 or higher, anything lower and the program will skip the repair.

Updated the repair list to have the current version of windows in top of the list. While this doesn't change any repairs it is more for information on what version of Windows the program is currently on so the user can see it. In this case needing to know what current build Windows 10 is, this can be helpful.

Updated default permissions for Windows 7,8 & 10 with all updates as of May 16, 2016.

Updated Codejock Controls to v17.2.0

Large amount of code changes and updates.

Might be nothing but I have sent it in to have it looked at. Thanks :)

False positives are more common than not and in this case it is a false positive :)

Need reviews early so it has stars. It would be a big help, everything else your mentioning does not matter since promotion is promotion and that's all I am asking for here. We're off track. That particular review was not ME. :)

Yes, but if you're not on both, you're not on the two biggest download sites. We had removed it from about a year or two ago because it had a wrapper. Our EULA and pad file now specifies it can be freely distributed in unaltered form, including and third party wrappers, etc.

The static PAD file for any author's who need it is at

Thank you in advance for the support.

I will send this in to Shaen to see if he has any ideas. Might be a bug fix for next release. Hang in there and thanks for your support.

And with that we're done. the forums here exist for support for the Tweaking.Com forums and the moderators deserve some respect for the time they volunteer here. The forums also just look bad with the mommy name calling, the so called lists and you're weak threats. I've been doing this for 20+ years here, MajorGeeks.Com and many others and still standing.

Move on. this is done with.

There's a lot of possibilities here and Boggin has tried most of my ideas. However there is a known issue often after an infection that grays out your predefined rules.

Are your predefined rules grayed out?

When you ran Windows Repair did you make sure you ran the Firewall Repair? If this was an issue it should have fixed it. You can also run this standalone without running all Windows Repair. Optionally uncheck all,2.html

Of course you can turn Windows Firewall off as well and achieve the same goal.

What would you like to know? It's a good price for such a large external drive and it's Western Digital. Most people buy hard drives based on their experiences and loyalty. Western Digital and Seagate are two of the biggest.

Have you scanned with a program like Malwarebytes. Also, you might try Google Chrome or Firefox as an alternative in the meantime.

Thank you for your patience and being a customer!

I hate to give this answer because people love their web browsers but I use Chrome. Even Firefox. Is that something you can do or no? And thanks for your patience and support.
