Let me know if the new version of the Window repair helps. If it doesnt then something else is going on. And you already did the scans for infections with combofix.exe and malwarebytes anti rootkit?
In the new version of the Windows repair I did add some more to the repair Windows updates, thats why I want you to try the new version :-)

Rumrunner:
I have ran Windows Repair All v2 with the same error.....also installed the latest Windows Update Agent.....also went to services and stopped and restarted Windows Update.......same error.
Right now I am manually installing most updates.
Should I delete the DNS Tweaking package since it did not correct anything?
Shane:
Yeah you can remove it, in fact once it sets the dns you dont need the program, it doesn't run in the background :-)
Does the event viewer show any errors that might give me some more info?
Shane
Rumrunner:
Event Viewer says "MMC could not create the snap-in" so this just keeps getting worse
Basically the computer is running fine except the update problem......I work around it by going to Windows Update and finding the KB numbers and manually going to Microsoft.com and downloading them......not the most efficent way but it works.......It is just wierd that I cannot find a fix for this???
Thanks for all of you help it is appreciated.
