Windows Repair v.2.10.2 can't perform repairs
Shane:
So the person told you the hard drive was bad and then tried to sell you Windows 8? LOL
Good to hear my repairs where able to finish. Why did the person who helped you say the hard drive had damage?

Not sure but there was a bad sector warning at one point (although only 28 kb affected) At any rate with the cost of computers being relatively low I may just purchase another and relegate this one to "gaming only" unless you believe it's worth the effort to keep trying to find a solution?
Shane:
Any drive that has bad sectors should be replaced. A new 5 year warranty hard drive from newegg.com is around $80. Then you have to reinstall windows. The only reason to get a new system is if the cpu and memory on that system isnt up to par to what you would like. Otherwise a new hard drive and reinstalling Windows is far cheaper :-)

Thanks Shane for the help. I will look into a hard drive and perhaps get a new windows so I am up to speed. Appreciated the speed in which you replied to each of my posts. I will highly recommend your site to anyone I know looking for help!
Shane:
Stick with Windows 7. Windows 8 is a UI nightmare and not many like it. Windows 10 is due out in fall 2015, wait for it, till then stick with 7 :-)
