[SOLVED] Pre-Repairs Scan Help
E38:
UPDATE: Issue solved, see reply #33.
--x--x--
Hello, I have run a Pre-Repairs Scan, and these are my results. How do I go about fixing these? I have tried searching the internet but it didn't seem to help much.
I have trouble running windows update (I get updates failed to install error), and hopefully if these were fixed I can use it again.

Scan Complete - Problems Found!
While problems have been found, you can still run the repairs in the program.
But for the best results it is recommended to fix the problems reported in this scan if possible.
If you need help fixing any of the items in the log, just post in the forums at Tweaking.com for help.

No problem :-)
Ok first you will need to apply the take onwership reg file I attached, this will add a option to the right click menu to take ownership of a folder or file.
Then grab the Win_7_Packages_Files I attached, extract all the files, then selecte them all and choose copy.
Now go to C:\Windows\servicing and then right click on Packages and click on take ownership. Then once that is done go into the packages folder, so
C:\Windows\servicing\Packages
Then paste the files you copied into there.
On the reparse points, I made Windows Repair v3.1.0 last night and it is in testing till monday, so it is a beta right now. But I built a new repair tool to fix the reparse points.
So if you want grab the beta here (Or just wait till I release it on monday)
http://tweaking.com/files/setups/tweaking.com_windows_repair_aio_setup_beta.exe
Then when you run it you will see a new button with the pre repairs scan, and it is the Repair Reparse Points tool, it should fixes those for you. If you use it let me know the results :-)
After you do both those things make sure to reboot the computer and then go try windows updates again

Thanks for the reply Shane. I've tried your solution, but I couldn't get rid of the windows update issue. Here's the Pre-Repairs scan that I took after.

Shane:
Ok you can ignore these for now
This File Is Corrupt (Bad Digital Signature):
I have found that when I put back the missing files the windows api doesnt know to look at the cat file that is with it to pull the signature info, I need to find out where it stores that info so I can have it add it as well :-)
Now that the files are replaced run the windows repair and h ave it run all the repairs and then see how windows updates do :-)
